Bret & Jorie Holman (Founders)

Bret and Jorie Holman were both won to Christ during their senior year of college. At the time, Bret was a nominal Christian and SAE fraternity member at the University of Southern California (USC), while Jorie was a nominal Jewish student and former college cheerleader at Cal State Long Beach.

They met at the same church they were attending as students, fell in love, and got married in the summer of 1992. Together, they served as campus missionaries to the University of Southern California for five years. Bret then served as the North American Director for Every Nation Campus Ministries for the next ten years while earning his Master's degree at Fuller Theological Seminary. During that time, they had four beautiful children (three girls and a boy), who are now grown and have started their own adult lives.

In 2006, they left their corporate ministry duties and returned to the mission field as domestic church planters and campus missionaries. They had a burning passion to win others to Christ and make disciples in areas where most people did not attend church.

In the summer of 2007, Bret and Jorie moved to Las Vegas to plant All People Christian Church of Las Vegas and to establish an outreach at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). 

After six years of leading All People Christian Church in Las Vegas, they merged the congregation with a nearby Assemblies of God church. Together, they formed what is now Life Christian Church, a congregation that is still serving students and residents in the Las Vegas area today.

During this time of transition, God reunited Bret and Jorie with their spiritual family of origin, Every Nation Ministries, and they began preparing to move to Reno—Bret's hometown—to plant All People Christian Church of Reno at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) campus.

After ten fruitful years of winning and making disciples both on the campus and in the city, Bret and Jorie decided to close All People Christian Church. This allowed them to focus entirely on campus ministry, coaching missionaries to raise ministry support, and developing discipleship tools.

They joined Destiny Christian Church, an Assemblies of God church in Reno, out of which they planted a brand-new Chi Alpha Campus Ministry chapter at the University of Nevada, Reno. Now they lead this exciting new campus outreach and devote their time to coaching other church planters and campus missionaries, as well as developing vital discipleship resources through All People Christian Ministries—the 501(c)(3) nonprofit they started in 2007. 

Their lifelong commitment to winning and discipling college students, as well as equipping and empowering those who do, continues! 

ON A PERSONAL NOTE...

Bret loves golf, and Jorie loves ice skating. They both used to compete in their respective sports and continue to pursue them for fun today. They work very hard, but they also love taking relaxing vacations and visiting their adult children. Their favorite place to unwind together is Lake Tahoe. They are also both extroverts who truly love meeting new people.
